Morning Mists
As the summer fades and cooler temperatures arrive the play of the sunlight in the mist and the trees can bring a very picturesque scene. This photo was taken one early October morning from our back deck.
A September Sky at Dawn
Here are some pictures of our sky yesterday morning September 11th 2008.
It was a beautiful morning that I spent (at least before 7:00 AM) potting up a couple demonstration plants for what else? A demonstration! I'll be giving a demonstration at our local gardening club (Spring Hill, TN) about propagating plants from cuttings. I potted up a Veronica and a catmint for the demonstration and two 'Husker Red' Penstemon in pots for our front porch. I'll share those with you in a couple days. Woohoo...discount plants! 'Tis the season! (For discount plants not Christmas, although the local big box stores are already stocking for Christmas!)
I've been spending most of my time the last couple days preparing for it, so hopefully someone will enjoy it! I may blog about it on Saturday, I'd better remember the camera!
A Few Morning Sights in the Garden
With a slight fog in the air the sun's rays illuminated those morning mists.
A purple Mother's Day rose with its leaves frosted by the morning dew.
If you look close enough you can see the spider web waving in the air.
Morning is a great time to be in the garden!
Blue Skies Smiling at Me
This morning I went out to tinker in the garden and had to capture some of images of the clear blue skies overhead. I was out taking cuttings on this cool spring-like morning that I'll share a with you later today.
The sky began as mostly overcast with a few spots of blue shining through.
Soon the overcast skies gave way to puffy cottonball-like clouds on a background of blue.
The clouds were parting above our Tulip poplar, the state tree of Tennessee.
As I finished feeding the birds I took one last picture of the sky. A clear day is ahead, have a good one!

Another Tennessee Sunrise
Another Tennessee sunrise peaks out through the bare trees. A chilly 22.9 degree Fahrenheit began the day but it warmed up to the 60's in the afternoon.
